Chapter 5: The Strange Bracelet
Furrowing his brow, Lei Yu slowly crouched down, carefully examining the shattered stones on the ground. He too wanted to know whether the issue was with the material of the stones or if it was his sudden increase in strength that had caused this situation.
With a thud, that stone was unexpectedly shattered by the kick.
The direction in which Lei Yu was heading was a peach orchard. As for whether he could find any traces of human presence within this orchard, he had no confidence at all. In fact, it was not just this peach orchard; he was equally uncertain whether there were any people in the entire Peach Blossom Land. The reason he chose to go that way was purely out of a gamble.
Who would have thought that it would be better not to try? Upon trying, Lei Yu couldn't help but break into a cold sweat, for the bracelet had just been placed on his wrist when it suddenly vanished into thin air. Lei Yu searched the ground and rummaged through his pockets for a long time, yet he could not find even a trace of the bracelet.
Since I couldn't figure it out, I simply decided not to think about it any longer. With a wry smile, I stood up and continued to walk forward with large strides.
The sky is so blue, the mountains and waters are so exquisite, seemingly filled with spiritual energy. The entire world appears to be imbued with vibrant life, as if this place forms its own realm, completely disconnected from everything in the outside world. This is indeed a paradise.
Picking up the bracelet, Lei Yu gestured for quite a while, only to discover that this bracelet fit his wrist perfectly. Unable to resist the playful impulse, he no longer cared about what material the bracelet was made of and directly slipped it onto his wrist.
There should be someone living here! After wandering for a while in this peach grove, Thunderstorm couldn't help but feel delighted, for it unexpectedly caught sight of a corner of a white stone pavilion peeking through the gaps in the peach trees.
Sitting down heavily on the ground, Lei Yu was lost in thought for half a day, yet he could not figure out where that bracelet had gone. However, even though the bracelet had suddenly disappeared from his wrist, Lei Yu did not notice any discomfort at all.
The peach orchard appeared to be not far away, but as Lei Yu walked towards it, he realized that it was not the case at all. After walking for quite some time, Lei Yu still found himself some distance away from the orchard.
Repositioning himself, Lei Yu cautiously brushed aside the powdery stones. In the very center of the pile of stone dust, a dark, inconspicuous object appeared before Lei Yu's eyes
The presence of a pavilion implies that there must have been inhabitants here; even if there are none now, there certainly were in the past. Without hesitation, Thunderstorm strides purposefully towards the direction of the pavilion, for in Thunderstorm's view, even if no one can be found, it is still possible to discover some records on how to leave this place.
It appeared to be a dark and ominous opening, but as the thunderstorm stepped inside, the entire scene before it transformed, and it unexpectedly arrived at this place
Forget it, I will wait until I have time to thoroughly explore this paradise. Right now, what I most want to know is the whereabouts of my younger brother! I wonder if he has been captured by those wicked slaves!" Lei Yu muttered to himself. When he entered this place, it was through that cave entrance, but at this moment, Lei Yu realized that he had no idea how to return to his previous world.
It is so vast here that I do not know if anyone lives in this place. If I could find someone to ask, I believe they should know the way back. With this thought in mind, Lei Yu looked around and confidently walked forward in a determined direction.
He picked up the object, and Lei Yu looked at it again and again. It turned out to be a bracelet. Although the bracelet appeared rather unremarkable, Lei Yu examined it for a long time but could not discern what material it was made of. Perhaps this was due to Lei Yu's limited experience in such matters.
It is not possible; even if this place is good, one cannot remain here indefinitely! My father is in grave danger, and my younger brother's fate is uncertain. I cannot bear all of this!" Lei Yu suddenly opened his eyes. Although he was curious about this seemingly perfect unknown world before him, he could never completely let go of the mundane affairs of the world and stay here.
With a hint of disappointment, Lei Yu forced a smile, slowly stood up, and stepped down hard on the small pile of gravel. The stone, of an unknown material, was crushed to powder under his foot. However, Lei Yu found himself puzzled, as he felt that beneath the crushed stone, there seemed to be something hard and unyielding. No matter how hard he tried, he could not budge it in the slightest. Yet, Lei Yu found himself puzzled again, as he felt that beneath the crushed stone, there seemed to be something hard and unyielding. No matter how hard he tried, he could not budge it in the slightest.
Ah! When did my strength become so great! If it is really like this, then I wouldn't have to just run away when encountering those few wicked servants! Seeing this scene, Lei Yu was momentarily taken aback. Originally, Lei Yu was merely venting his frustration, but the stone shattering upon impact was completely beyond his expectations. Lei Yu was well aware of his own strength; usually, being able to kick such a large stone away was already quite impressive. The thought of shattering it was something he wouldn't even dare to consider.
If the scene witnessed upon the arrival of the thunderstorm can be described as a fairyland, then this place can undoubtedly be regarded as a fairyland within a fairyland. With eyes gently closed, one enjoys the sensation of the cool breeze caressing the face, savoring the wafts of earthy fragrance carried by the wind. In this moment, Lei Yu seems to be completely entranced, temporarily forgetting worries and sorrows.
Originally, Lei Yu was very concerned about the safety of his younger brother. With this situation arising, Lei Yu couldn't help but feel a bit troubled. He lifted his right foot and, aiming at a stone the size of a human head in front of him, kicked it fiercely.
It seems that this stone indeed has a material issue! I was left with nothing but empty joy! Alas!" Thunderstorm sighed, for as Thunderstorm picked up a piece of broken stone and merely touched it lightly, both pieces of stone unexpectedly crumbled in his hands.
Finally, Thunderstorm walked into the peach orchard without any hesitation, continuing to move deeper into the grove.
